I moved to Thailand in 2005 guided by a life-long, strong urge to find my spiritual path and I found it a few days after my arrival to the island, Koh Lanta. The monk said “welcome home, Annelie”.


I devoted many years to daily practice in the temple with my beloved teacher, Vipassana Master Tan Adjan Sayan.
Yearly silent temple retreats and my own daily practice has removed more and more dust from my eyes over the years and since 2007 I teach meditation, Anapanasati/Vipassana that I have adapted for westerners. I feel truly fortunate and grateful and I have thousands of students all over the world. My teacher often said, “lucky you”, yes, lucky me.

 


the retreat
I work at the retreat on Koh Lanta in Thailand half the year, where I teach Astanga yoga and meditation every day. We also offer intense meditation retreats with yoga every month and silent retreats.


The retreat has a beautiful shop with lots of wonderful things. Many of them you can find on Soul Things web shop.
The retreat is at the back of a unique, artistic beach – resort, ChaBa on the popular Klong Dao beach. ChaBa has a wide variety of bungalows in different price levels and the retreat’s students has special price.


Next to the retreat is one of the best medical Thai massage on the island, “Jao and Kip’s Family massage”

In Soul Thing’s web shop we gather things we love, eco-friendly and fair trade whenever possible. Soul Thing’s web shop is for people who do yoga and meditation, but also for you who search for beautiful, unique things. We search for things that put a smile on our face and bring happiness and joy to our life through body, mind and soul. Things that are connected to the path we choose for our life.
We try and involve as many locals as possible in our production process, acting according to the Dhamma, giving.
